AS DAWN BROKE OVER GALLIPOLI in TURKEY, AUSTRALIANS AND NEW ZEALANDERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD REMEMBERED THE 100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE GALLIPOLI CAMPAIGN .....ANZAC DAY! PART OF OUR SHORT AUSTRALIAN HISTORY....
My Mum is 90....her Dad, my grandfather, fought in the first World War as fighter pilot in the UK. Flying Moths!
My own father, fought in the second World War...in northern Africa, then spent years in a Prisoner of War camp in Japan after being taken in Singapore.
I remember when I was very young, we always attended the dawn Anzac Day parades in which my father marched proudly with his camarades....I thought of this this am at daybreak.
