From our bay down below the green covered slopes, we are really appreciating our privileged view up to the dominating 13th century castle and Cycladic chora ...BUT we have not had a favourable meteo to say the least....actually incredibly difficult.
Force 8, with hissing gusts of 9 and sometimes 10! We have been doing anchor watches for 3 nights now....not forgetting the rain, SLEET, and cold. Therefore we are feeling rather exhausted!
Finally, today the winds seem to be just slightly dropping, but the sun is shining brightly with not a cloud in the sky....OOFF! What a difference the sun makes...
Our friends Lorna and Simon on Elsa May, are anchored nearby, as well as a big Greek Navy ship..
SUNDAY ...last night at midnight, we witnessed a magnificent firework display set off from the chateau..the war ship was all lit up sounding it's horn to announce the start and end of the display...it is the BIG GREEK EASTER WEEKEND!
After a proper sleep in our bed last night & a great shower, we are now feeling more human again...possibly leave for Leros on Tuesday??
