However, just a few miles before arriving, 25 knots pushed us dramatically into the Marina, where my Bruno did a marvellous job of reversing 'Pacific Pearl' into our 'Winter' berth, now snug, safe and sound!.....bravo! Not always easy!
We just got settled in nicely, had a well deserved early aperitif, then the winds increased dramatically with heavy rain, leading up to THE MOST incredibly wild wild storm ....THE TOTALE.....thunder, blazing lightning, roaring gusts up to 50 knots, which I saw on our instruments. (an American neighbour told me that he registered 60 knots!!)
What a welcome!.....now to discover our new quarters for Winter. The Marina is very full, seem to be many live aboards & many American flags flying.
Our neighbours are Italian, English, German, American and New Zealanders. I can also see Aussie flags!
