Below..Pacific Pearl anchored off Ormos Neorion.....
What a great short sail down from Palaia Epidhavros....rapid, as smooth seas 'most' of the way, up to 24 knots, but not 'in the nose'!
What a thrill as we were anchoring, to discover a NZ flagged yacht approach us......yes, we know this boat...definitely Renee and Jamie S/Y 'Manaia'.....after such a long time..
SO much to catch up on over endless aperitifs, as one does!!
We will be apparently following the same route over the next few months, so not the last of our enjoyable evenings together.....looking forward to them!
Anchored in a different bay this time, Ormos Neorion, which we have always enjoyed in the past. So pleasant to be again opposite lush green vegetation.... pines, cypresses, olive trees and of course huge eucalyptus trees, especially one enormous specimen growing right on the 'beach' offering shade for beach beds and taverna tables...'pieds dans l'eau'.
We are away from the hustle and bustle of Poros town, but can wizz across in our dinghy.
There are a few family run tavernas, low key, and certainly lower prices than in town, which can be a 'tourist trap'!
