The tiled red roofed houses are all (mostly) made of volcanic stone, with either brown or dark green shutters, many with dark red painted timber balconies looking down over the steep cliffs and small harbour below.
This is possibly the main tourist 'town' of the island, and one can understand why, with an interesting selection of tavernas, bars, boutiques, tiny fishing harbour.... ravissante!
Not forgetting the local beaches, of course with calm crystal clear limpid water.
The surrounding hilly countryside is beautiful, so green, so pleasing to the eye.
