Very few sailing yachts around the area, mostly small runabouts, especially on Sundays. Not one 'gin palace' in sight (huge motor yacht)...thankfully. Maybe busier in August, but nothing in comparison with the other island groups. Every day we consider ourselves so fortunate to be anchored here taking advantage of this beautiful island and surrounding area.
The cicadas are happily singing from very early in the morning until late at night....we can smell the scent from the rich green pine trees covering the coastline, even out at anchor, as usually a pleasant breeze blowing...but no meltemi...!
The nights are completely tranquil, no loud music, as no bars close by, with tavernas further afield on the mainland coast.
Water is a very acceptable 28+ degrees, clear and clean...lots of swimming on the daily programme. Every evening, we watch the incredibly stunning sunsets...different each day.
Bruno is continuing with maintenance jobs in between devouring books and his afternoon siesta. It is very hot, it is Summer! Pure bliss!
