From there we had a fantastic sail across to the mountainous island of VIS, even put up the spi, a rare occasion!
The old old town of KOMIZA, with it's stone buildings and lovely churches, is set in a very spectacular setting, facing the deep sapphire blue sea and surrounded by high green mountains, covered in thick pine, with vineyards everywhere on the gentler lower slopes.
We didn't visit the actual town of VIS along the north, but spent another night around the islands on the south east coast. Not an easy job to find a secure bay, as many boats, and still rather deep ...finally dropped the anchor in 12 metres!
